Brahmaputra Market is our go-to place for every time we want the last minute blouse or fabric for skirts and dresses. The one shop we swear by is the poorly named R.R. Fashion – it’s small but chock full of ethnic prints.

The indie hipster in us finds the Indigo prints, ajrakh, floral, ikat, block prints, solids and abstract prints here irresistible. A decade old, this shop has never left us in the lurch. We’ve gone in hoping to pick up cloth by the metre for blouses, crop tops and everyday kurtas, and have always found something well within our budget.

On our last visit, we managed to pick up winter spun for granny’s suits and bought ourselves ikat cloth for a jacket that’s been on our mind. In fact, a whole lot of our plain chiffon sarees are all stunners, thanks to the lovely designs we’ve picked up for blouses to spunk them up.

Also guys, R.R. Fashion has an in-house tailor who we’re told stitches both Indian and Western outfits. If you try him out, fill us in?
