Success Story
This one’s about London Fashion Week 2018! Aman Khaneja, a 19-years old resident of Delhi and a first year Fashion Design student at LST-INIFD, Delhi showcased a stunning capsule collection at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. He made heads turn with his glamorous streetstyle collection. Taking inspiration from locks and shackles, his designs depicted the struggles which women continue to face in this patriarchal society. Giving it a positive outlook, he used open chains and free birds to depict natural freedom which women deserve in their life. With the component of golden embellishments, handcrafted in an Indian facility, the collection has brought an age old traditional Indian art to a global market.
The collection portrayed the beauty of Indian handicrafts. His hard work and LST-INIFD Delhi’s guidance made his collection a great success. Students studying in the prestigious London College of Fashion borrowed three of his outfits for their Fashion Styling project.
His ideas were appreciated and recognised on an international platform post which he was featured in British Vogue as part of a 111-page coverage received by LST-INIFD.
