What Makes It Awesome

A sign board saying "welcome for blessings" had been luring me to visit this shrine ever since I was a kid. I would cross this area daily until one evening on Buddha jayanti I decided to satiate my curiosity. There I was and there I saw - a magnificent hall full of hundreds of followers, practitioners and few monks chanting hymns in unison. The words sounded like they belonged to a collective of all world languages. The hall reverberated with peaceful harmony and I experienced goosebumps by the time the session ended.

Delhi is a couldron of many different religions, faiths and spiritual ventures. The Buddhist temple in EOK is yet another exemplary display of the same.

What's My Pro Tip?

This is one trip best taken solo. Perfect for some me-time.

The nearest metro station is Kailash colony 5mins away. You can take an e-rick/auto from there.

If you have time, head to the famous ISKCON temple nearby to explore a completely different faith on the same trip. End your spiritual venture at Baha'i temple and call it a fruitful day!

Anything Else?

The temple offers a hall space that is used for meditation, yoga and pujas. They have regular morning and evening services at 6am and 6pm daily. You can also interact with the resident monks and even ask questions.

Not only that, they even have rooms for pilgrims, meditation practitioners and for those who are interested in seeking a quieter place to stay in the metro.
The staycation includes hotel like amenities, a Japanese style dining room, 3 vegetarian meals per day, Buddhist studying and meditation center, a library and more.
