The Supreme Court has imposed a complete ban on the sale {and stocking} of firecrackers across Delhi & NCR, with immediate effect, and we couldn’t be happier.
Since this has come bang {pun intended} in the middle of wedding season — that’s a lot of air pollution that will be avoided.
The central government has also been asked to immediately suspend the licenses of those who stock them, plus no fresh licences to sell firecrackers will be issued— existing licences will be suspended.
