Grub On The Move: 12 Food Trucks You Should Drive To Right Now

The information in this post might be outdated

Delhi and NCR seem to have a sudden influx of food trucks. Although, most of them don’t really travel extensively, we’re thinking as long as the wheels of the truck go round and round, and cook our favourite treats, they count.

The Lalit Food Truck Company

The Lalit Food Truck has a variety of food, mostly Mexican, for quick, on-the-go eats. Try their quesadillas, or their crispy vegetarian tacos. If Mexican food isn’t quite up your alley, they also have the option of falafel and a mean vegetarian burger. You know quality is high on their list; it’s what The Lalit is known for.

#LBBTip:

The truck is flitting between WTC Building and FICCI Auditorium, Connaught Place. We suggest you call them to find out exactly where before planning a visit.

Hawkers, Vasant Kunj

On some days, there’s nothing like street-side Indian Chinese food, and we suggest you turn to Hawkers. They’ve been around for as long as we can remember, providing solace on rough (and good) days. Our vote goes to their freshly-prepared Chicken Chilli Garlic Chowmein, and the succulent momos—both steamed and fried. They are open till 10:40 pm.

Cosmic Cafe, Dwarka

Popularly known for their sandwiches, Cosmic Cafe is the food truck to head to for mouthwatering Italian food in Dwarka. They serve cold and hot beverages, eggs dishes, burgers, pastas and more. Apart from Italian, the food truck also makes a constant effort to reduce their carbon emissions. You can buy newspaper seed pencils, hand-painted stones for decor and upcycled plant pots here too.

Their courteous staff and their affordable pricing (most of their food is priced under INR 100) is what makes customers come back again and again. It's open from 10 am-10pm.

Badmaash Kebabi, Noida

If you're craving chicken biryani and korma at midnight, Badmaash Kebabi is where you should be headed. This food truck in Noida does delicious and pocket-friendly Mughlai food. You can indulge in mouthwatering chicken biryani, rolls, kebabs and parathas here. They're open from 4:30 pm- 2 am.

Truckafe, Subhash Nagar

Truckafe serves delicious burger, fries, momos and more. This food truck in Subhash Nagar also has an awesome shakes and beverages menu. Chilly garlic momos and cheesy fries are a must-have. However, if you're looking for a healthier option, you can order their grilled chicken breast with herbs. The place is open from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

BhookBox Truck, Noida

The BhookBox Truck in Greater Noida is adored for their delicious pasta and dimsums. They have an impressive range of burgers (both veg and non veg options), and you should definitely try their 'Boom Burger'. The dishes are priced quite reasonably and the place has really good reviews. They're open from 10 am-11 pm.

Cheezone, Gurgaon

Cheezone has all the answers to your Chinese cravings! They serve delicious and big portions of honey chilli potatoes and chilly chicken, all priced decently. They have a massive range of dishes in their menu and have both veg and non veg options. This food truck opens in the evening and closes by 11 pm.

Patiala, Gurgaon

Patiala is popularly known for their soya, paneer and chicken tikkas. They have really yummy rolls. You should order their mushroom roll (for veg) or chicken malai tikka roll (for non veg). They're priced a little higher, but the tandoori dishes are definitely worth the price.

Delhi Food Truck Co., Gurgaon

The Delhi Food Truck Company serves delicious North Indian. Their special dish (called Naanza), which is basically stuffed naan, is rather popular amongst foodies. Their kebabs (dahi ke sholey), tikkas and rolls are also liked by many. However, we wouldn't recommend this place if you're a little light as the rates here are a little on the higher side.

The place opens at 6 pm and shuts around midnight.

The Rolling Kitchen

If you're craving for Lebanese cuisine, drive to this food truck ASAP! You should definitely try their mezze platter, and their hummus shawarma. Their exotic veg manakeesh is an appetizing option for the vegetarians.

The food truck opens at around 7 pm.

Romeo

Romeo food truck is a go-to place if you're looking for really good, experimental non-vegetarian food. Their non-veg and veg drunken rolls and wings are the most famous dishes. You can also order pizzas, pastas or burgers, if you want something familiar to eat. Their menu is priced a little on the higher side.

Romeo opens at around 6 pm.

Roadside Roasters

The Roadside Roasters have a lip-smacking range of dishes, which are an authentic fusion of Awadhi and Western cuisine—we're talking Mughlai Tacos, Lucknowi galouti kebab quesadillas, burritos and delicious hot 'dawgs' among other dishes.

They open at 6 pm.
