‘Floating’ Tables, Fresh Beer & Summertime Gladness At This Bar In Galleria

Hide out from the heat at Galleria Market’s Uptown Fresh Beer Café with their yummy house-brewed beers and let your troubles melt away.

The most exciting aspect of Uptown’s décor and ambience is the floating seating – it’s not as cut-and-dry as a separate floor, no way. Perched right above the tables on the ground floor and held in place by ropes, stairs and smart construction, the ‘floating’ tables and chairs will make you feel like you’re on top of the world.

Woody interiors, your playlist from the 90s and large windows are other cool elements at Uptown.

Ask for a sampler – Uptown brews four very, very distinct beers. Choose from the Brewer’s Special, German Wheat, Premium Beer and a Dark Beer. We loved the German Wheat, with wonderfully refreshing, fruity notes and would highly recommend getting a pitcher {for INR 575}.

Fried stuff with cheese is not just Joey’s favourite kind of food, but ours as well – especially when it’s served with beer. We ordered a platter {well, they called it a collage} of non-veg fries which, funnily enough, include no fries. Instead, the platter includes nuggets, garlic chicken batons and chicken popcorn.

Dessert was good, old hot chocolate fudge, served in a tall glass.

The menu at Uptown Fresh Beer Café is full of comfortable, familiar flavours {think a healthy mix of Chinjabi, Tex-Mex and Continental}, but it’s the laid-back ambience and the really good beer that we’ll be going back for.
