I was already a fan of Honey & Dough when they had opened up earlier in SDA market before, but sadly it closed down. When I got to know another branch had opened up closeby, I immediately urged my family to go there for desserts post-dinner. I just loved the look of this one even more. It was bigger and much more spaced out than the other outlet. I loved how well lit it was and the numerous posters on the lines of "coffee are life" made me feel at home! Their service is quite nice as well and the staff is very courteous. The following section gives a brief overview of the items that I tried:
Lemon Meringue Tart (9/10) - First and foremost it wasn't too sweet, and the lemon curd was absolutely perfect. It had the right amount of tang and sweetness. The base was nice and crumbly, and the meringue on top airy. It also had a candied lemon slice in the centre as a garnish. All those aspects in addition to the artistry, at that price, is absolutely worth it.
Drunken Chocolate Tart (8.5/10) - Another nice dessert, this one had a rich chocolate filling which again was not too sweet. In addition, it also had a mini chocolate macaroon on top. What else could you want for 95 Rs!
Banoffee Pie Jar (8.5/10) - This is one of my favourite desserts and the one I got here was quite nice. It had distinct layers of banana, toffee and cream with biscuit crumbs at the base. The advantage of this is that they serve it in a plastic jar so you can easily take it away too.
Blueberry Cheesecake (8.5/10) - Another artistic dessert very well garnished. Even taste-wise it was amazing and the texture nice and rich. The blueberry compote on top was slightly thick so it stayed on top nicely. Also, the amount of compote put was nice and generous.
Overall, one of my favourite bakeries in Delhi at the moment. They also have an assortment of beverages to enjoy your desserts with including both hot and cold varieties. That one thing that has made me their fan is that they provide good quality food at affordable prices. Definitely going back again to try more options.
