Philtre comes equipped with a fully loaded brewery, so fresh beer on the tap is free flowing, as is a selection of fine wines. However, if you are in the mood for a mix and match- choose from their range of specially crafted cocktails. The Amphora is quite an explosion of flavours with an infusion of jaggery and bitters along with white spirit and bourbon, and the Strigil is the in-house version of the cacao and tonic drink with a clever kewra infusion. Our favourite though is the Botany of Desire- a fruity flavourful punch that marries tropical flavours with an in-house honey pepper syrup.

The food reflects the spirit of adventure that bind the drinks together- there are bold flourishes in all dishes, and most work to great effect. Carnivores will love the Ghee Roast Lamb Chops with a garlic pickle cream, a tad greasy but superbly tender meat that melts in the mouth. The Maggie Fish Fingers are a trip down memory lane and marry two classics to present an interesting affair.

Vegetarians should certainly get a portion of the Rajma Galouti, tender and mushy and served atop Ulta Tawa Parantha Nachos.

For mains, share a portion of the olive and kathal biryani- tender and well-cooked, this is the perfect carb to an evening well spent. Sweet lovers, don’t leave without getting a portion of the Litchi Rabri Pannacotta with Almond Tulie and Saffron Foam- rich, creamy and very luscious, this is the perfect panacea for sweet dreams.

Philtre also introduces the concept of Quick Service Cocktails- boozy numbers that are prepared in a jiffy and meant to be taken away in specially designed glasses.
