What Is It?

Timed around Halloween, Carvan Trips is organising what they call the spookiest road trip of India. They will take 20 folks for a four-day trip to explore Rajasthan’s paranormal activities. This trail has been curated around spots that have dark legends, a haunted past or have had stories of spirits floating around for decades.

If you didn’t know, India’s Maharaja State has a rich oral tradition and age-old legends that revolve around stories of war, wronged rulers, cursed villages and haunted lands and the very idea behind this trip is to take the road less safe. So, gather your courage {and round up the gang} and sign up if you’re up for the hunt.

Who Is It For?

The daredevil of the group, the one who’s always been the one to suggest calling “evil spirits crossing by” and also that one gang member who’s full of stories of paranormal activity in abandoned neighbourhood house.

In short, if you’re not faint-hearted and fascinated by ghosts and spooky gullies, consider taking a four day break from work.

Why Should I Go For It?

Day 1, titled Dark Knight Rises, will be dedicated to discovering Udaipur’s less serene side that’s away from the picturesque lakes and bustling bazaars. People are free to join the gang at any time and after dinner, there’ll be a ghost story session where you can share the scariest incident you got with fellow daredevils.

The next day, is when the action begins with a visit to the Chittorgarh fort. It’s said that till date, the painful screams of Rani Padmini, who lost her life to Jauhar, echo through the walls.

Day 3 will see the travellers go to Jaipur’s Mehendipur Balaji Temple and Bhangarh Fort. The last leg of this search is where shit gets real. Rumours have it that evil spirits are conjured at the temple every day and you have the chance to see this forbidden site along with a visit to the eerie stepwell {Chand Baori}. This is the spot that was actually featured in The Dark Knight Rises.

What’s more? A trip to Bhangarh Fort that becomes no-go territory after sunset. PS: People’s cameras have captured more than humans here, we hear!

There’s also a Halloween party planned.

Anything Else?

The cost of the meals and transport to the assembly point {Udaipur} will be on you.
