Lowdown On The Ambience
The café was the first neighbourhood health café in North Delhi when it started about 13 years ago. Serving fresh cafe-style food, it has a live salad bar and a live wok section where you can customise your stir fry as per your liking. To make choosing easier, they’re labelled Immunity Booster, Hi-Fibre, Hi-Protein, Body Builder etc.
There isn’t much to the ambience as the seating area can only accommodate up to 10-12 people, but it is a cosy little place for sure. The best time to visit the cafe is in the evening, but one can also place orders through their website.
What’s On The Menu?
To begin with, we customised our salad {all the vegetables + pasta + mayo + Thousand Island dressing + jalapenos} and it turned out amazing. And followed this with the cheese & corn garlic bread and vegetarian cocktail sandwich.
Customisation is the keyword here, even in the wok section. You have the option of noodles or rice, three different sauces {black bean, chilli garlic, hot garlic}, protein {chicken, soya, cottage cheese} and a variety of vegetables. We asked them to merge all the vegetables + chicken+ noodles+ peanuts+ hot garlic sauce into the wok. Served to us in a neat noodle box, it was cooked to perfection!
The Tortilla Chicken Tikka Wrap, served with a cocktail dip is another stunner worth digging into. You can also pick from their famous pastas {red, white, masala, baked}, anything from the live egg station and grilled meals {served with brown rice and sautéed vegetables in mushroom or salsa sauce}.
Among the drinks, we tried the Mint Mojito and Choco Frappe. Both of them were pretty pleasing- no complaints. We’re going to be trying their smoothies very soon.
Death by Chocolate with vanilla ice cream is the only dessert on their menu, and it wins for its soft homemade goodness. We regret not trying out their sundaes {you can even customise your sundae. Win, win}.
But, next time, fo-sho!
