What Makes It Awesome?

I was delighted to see that Paul opened up in Gurugram. The first time I stepped into Paul was in Canary Wharf London in 2012. I still vividly remember what I ordered there, a cup of hot chocolate and a butter croissant. Though the order was simple, my experience (a lot many time) with hot chocolate and butter croissant in a lot of cafés has been rather disappointing. This was not the case with Paul. I loved the fact that their hot chocolate was slightly on the bitter side and the butter croissant was baked to perfection.

When I saw that Paul opened its first outlet in gurgaon I just had to have their hot chocolate. So I did, and I was not let down one bit, to say the least. Then my next visit was with the Mrs. To their sit down restaurant. I ordered a carbonara pasta with bacon and my wife ordered some fancy roasted chicken in cream sauce which turned out to be chicken malai tikka 😁. If you want to learn how to name something simple, fancy, learn it from the French. Besides the point the food overall was great. And yes before I forget, I ordered a banoffee shake, which was très bien.

I totally recommend this place. It is perfectly priced, food is great, hot chocolate is fantastic, and the ambience is very chic! For all those that already know about Paul know what I’m talking about and for those that haven’t heard of Paul. Try it once Thank me later! And yes! Try the hot chocolate.
