What Makes It Awesome

If you've lived in Delhi long enough, you know how high in regard Delhiites hold Gulati's. For the 90s kids, just the name of Pandara Road brings a wave of nostalgia—kulfi wala outside designated for dessert, the toy horse ride for kids was a must, not to forget the paan wale bhaiya for the end to a perfect meal at this iconic restaurant.

The taste and consistency of Gulati's food is unmatched, as you can tell, I've been going there for years, and the taste is almost comforting now, which is why I was super excited to know that they're opening a shiny new outlet in Gurgaon. I went there on a Sunday, so I was prepared to wait for a little, it took about 45 to 50 minutes to get our seats, so I highly recommend reserving a seat if you're planning to go on a weekend.

The place is well designed, it incorporates new interiors—rattan chairs, wooden panelling, good lighting—with the same old food that I know and love. The area looks small but fits approximately 80 people at once. It's perfect for family outings. The place is known for its Butter Chicken, but since I'm a vegetarian my order consisted of a good old Kebab Platter, Dal Makhni, Kadhai Paneer and an assortment of breads and Hyderabadi Biryani (no, it's not pulao). I don’t have any complaints about the food, the taste was rich and flavourful, the portion sizes were good for the price, and the staff was accommodating even during rush hour. If you too love North Indian cuisine you must visit for an upgraded experience of Gulati's.

Price For Two: INR 1,800
