Haathi is a homegrown apparel brand based out of Noida that prints Anjani’s doodles on to clothes. Their collections refresh every few months but each has a story behind it. These anti-fit tunics, kurtas, tops and more are adorable and we’ve already ordered ourselves a summer dress.
Anjani was a marketing whiz and presumably tired of her job when she was sitting and having tapri chai outside her office. At this moment, she got stung by a bee. Much as it hurt physically, she decided to take to pen and paper and drown her misery in her doodling. The bee sketch looked cute and her mum suggested that she take up designing and drawing as a career. She got the doodle printed on some fabric and a year back, Haathi was born.
Till date, each of their collection is inspired by a story. The Love Birds and the newest one, called Patchwork People, being some examples. We’re also told that they believe in a zero-waste policy where every bit of cloth left is used in some way or another. Makes you love them a little more, right?
