Arguably, your hands are the most used part of your body (sometimes more than your brain). We eat, pick up stuff, drop stuff, balance a million things on them at once, type, scratch, point fingers, lift weights, all with our lovely hands. Needless to say, taking care of them becomes all the more important, especially during the colder months of the year with them becoming dry and rough, or if you're someone who lifts weights (and refuses to wear gloves), with callouses forming. For all your troubles, here's the LBB crew recommending the best hand creams so you can have beautiful, soft, supple and well-moisturised hands all year round.

'It does the job, is lightweight and has a quick-absorbing formula. I like the fact that I can apply it to my face, just in case I need to. I also love that it is 99 per cent fragrance free unlike hand creams that come in all the scents in the world.'

'I have been using MCaffeine Naked & Raw Mattifying Coffee Hand Cream for winter for the past four months or so. It's working great for me, has taken care of dry skin that accompanies lifting weights and also made my cuticles healthier. It gets absorbed quickly and has a nice coffee fragrance I love (might not be for everyone though).'

'Along with the Bath and Body Works one, I also use the Nykaa Jasmine and Neroli hand cream. Both are lightweight and have quick-absorption. The Bath and Body Works cream's fragrance can sometimes be overwhelming, especially if you're prone to olfactory-induced migraines, but it is super moisturising. The Nykaa cream is great, maybe not as moisturising as the other one, but the fragrance is subtle enough and it's easy on the pocket. Plus, since I use a lot of hand cream, it works out for me. "

'Being someone who suffers with sinus, I detest overly scented products. This hand cream by The Body Shop is not only subtly scented, but is also super moisturising. I love how easily it gets absorbed into the skin with little to no residue. You do need to apply it every six to seven hours, but I think that's not a problem at all. It's affordable, is perfect for my dry skin and helps with the callouses that form when I lift weights.'

'I recently bought a hand cream from this company called Natural Habit. It's a homegrown brand. I use hand creams because  I don't like how my hands look, and am constantly moisturising them, in hopes that they look better. Marketed as a hand malaai, this one claims to be super moisturising and organic, which is true, however apart from the moisturising bit, I don't see much of a difference yet.'
