An expression of oneself, jewellery makes everyday living and dressing so much more fun! Right, gals? But we'd be lying if we admit that we've not come across the same styles and designs over and over. So, raise your hands if you're looking for something more unique, because we've found you just the brand: Tavasha.
Drawing inspiration from the way our ancestors accessorised, the Phoenician Empire (approximately 1,000 years BC), to be precise, this local business was born out of Founder, Purnima's idea to ditch the "massy" route of doing things. If we had to sum up the jewellery by Tavasha it would have to be raw, one-of-a-kind and unconventional. To create each individually handcrafted piece, Purnima uses the intricate and ancient art of wire weaving or wrapping (silver, copper, and brass), together with what she calls, "mixed media" elements like, raw and polished semi-precious stones, forest pickings, and travel stones. What struck us were the asymmetrical handcrafted chokers. Hammered, textured, and wire wrapped with semi-precious stones they had a cool boho-chic vibe about them.
To shop for Tavasha's collection of pendants, earrings, chokers and bracelets (INR 600 upwards) slide into the brand's Instagram and Facebook. Also look out for their soon to be launched website. No matter what you pick, be sure to stand out because every piece has layers or should we say bends of dimension, is original and distinctive.
