Now there is one place in CP that sells out before 7 pm. And whenever you go before that, it’s crowded. The place oozes attitude and yet – it is indispensable. We are talking about Wenger’s at Connaught Place.
They have been in business for 75 years now and have a very British design entry gate. And not all British era stuff is bad, take their cream buns for example. These buns are soft and the cream inside is mild, fluffy, and lightly flavoured. It melts in the mouth and messes one up a bit around the lips and on the fingers. But it is all so worth it and we just don’t mind.
Their whole cakes are also delightful. The sponge cake is soft and the icing is fluffy. The fresh fruit cake is our favourite. We love how they cover the sides with chopped cashew. The whole thing comes together so well in each bite.
