The Indian Route at The Courtyard, Nirvana Country, was a chance discovery while traversing through this marketplace. One glimpse at the window and my feet automatically wheeled me into the cool environs of this cosy boutique. Rows upon rows of beautifully hand block printed ensembles in smart, chic designs and soft and subtle colours beckoned me and I couldn’t resist going through the whole range. Jewel-toned outfits in chanderi with lovely, subdued gota work, are all prepped up for the festive season. There is something so refreshing and cool about muslin: the light, gauzy material sits like a whisper on your body. The intense heat of summer becomes a lot bearable because of this wonder material, it’s light and breathable texture is a boon in this scathing heat. Their range of home linen is equally spectacular. Loved the way they have stacked quilts, bedcovers, cushions, and table linen in square wooden shelves covering one whole wall. In a vintage wire mesh cupboard, are nestled ceramic mugs, bowls, diaries, and notebooks made of leftover fabrics- they sure are doing their bit at recycling and not wasting a thing. They have a smattering of ceramic ware, displayed attractively on a table. Aroma joss sticks from Pondicherry grace yet another counter. The next time you are in Nirvana Country, Gurgaon, do step into this cool and uber stylish boutique for some cool stuff.
