Shortcut

Set amidst 18 acres of picture perfect landscaped Mughal gardens, The Taj Jai Mahal Palace is an oasis of comfort and regal history, located in the very central and tony Civil Lines area of Jaipur.

The Luxe Life

Dating way back to 1745 AD, the property has changed several illustrious owners but still manages to retain an awe-inspiring vibe that is so reflective of the Rajputana life. Impeccable service, an air of serenity or a very soothing deep tissue massage at the in-house JIVA space will help you take a break from the frenetic pace of the city. Delight in a casual meander through the properties grounds, or enjoy a rather stately buggy ride, a traditional puppet show, palmistry or folk dances that wear the soul of the dessert.

As you walk through the grand, marbled corridors, and retire into elegant rooms with vintage flourishes, you can almost feel the echo of history, and the magic of an era that still lingers on.

Feast Like A Royal

In true aristocratic style, food and drink here holds centre stage and each meal is a culinary delight.  Opt for the Cinnamon, a cosy nook that serves up indulgent gravies and succulent kebabs from four princely states for a magical meal. Our special shout-outs here to the signature Dal Cinnamon (smoky, velvety and an absolute treat), the very ingenious vegetarian Makai Malai Seekh, a delightfully meaty Maas Ke Soole, earthy spinach laden Hara Bhara Kebab and the Waza Palak, and an addictively crunchy Jaipuri Bhindi.

For lovers of the Mediterranean, we recommend the Giardino, an impeccably fine Italian restaurant that will wow you with fresh salads, gorgeous grills and finely crafted plates of pasta. Seafood lovers should get a portion of the Fritto Misto, white wine marinated seafood crumb fried and served with a creamy tarter. We also enjoyed the Risotto di funghi- a traditional Porcini mushroom-laden affair, nicely creamy and comforting.

The Tiramisu here is to die for; booze-laced, intense, creamy and chocolate-y- ticking all our boxes for a post-prandial treat.

The hotel is also home to The Marble Arch, an all-day diner that will pamper you with international favourites, and the very chic Marigold- the cities original watering hole that offers an exclusive collection of Cuban cigars, classic tipples and post dinner drinks.
