Help Clean Up Hauz Khas Lake By Building A Floating Island

Evolve Engineering is leading an initiative to clean up Hauz Khas lake by building floating wetlands. The wetlands help clean up the algae in the water {that gives it the nasty green colour}. I went on a weekend for a spot fix event organised by New Delhi Rising and I Say Organic and we got to learn how to build a wetland, and work with other volunteers to build and float one! Great use of a Saturday morning. Each wetland costs about INR 5000 to build, and is a fun group activity - so get a group together and sponsor + build a wetland! You can also spread the world and help raise money for the cause.
