Henry Havaldar won’t put you behind bars but will definitely set the bar high for good food. What makes it interesting is that it was started by an army man, Harpal Singh aka Henry Havaldar, who has lived in many parts of the country during his 20 years of service. Together with his wife Kitty Kaur, he started this food delivery joint out of their love for regional Indian food from across the country.
The inspiration behind the place is the belief that we as Indians share a joint desi identity, and our tastes are varied and inclusive, especially when it comes to food. A Punjabi can crave a good Bengali fish just as easily as Butter Chicken, and so this cloud kitchen with a diverse vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu brings India to your plate.
Overall the menu includes snacks, starters, mains, and desserts, with seasonal and festival-inspired dishes introduced regularly, made with the best quality and premium ingredients. From familiar North Indian comfort food of Delhiites such as Butter Chicken and Daal Makhani to diverse dishes like Himachali Khatta Gosht and Naga Bhoot Jholakia Spare Ribs, they have it all. A fun fact is that each dish has a story of how Henry and Kitty came up with the recipe so don’t forget to read it!
So, the next time you get together with friends from different backgrounds or simply want to satisfy your Desi cravings, you know where to order from!
