We were given the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick to check out, and we thought, who better than our in-house social media professional to really put it to test? Being forever in the know and always on the go, our social media junkie took the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick out for a spin on a regular work day and shared with us how this little device fared for her. Check it out.
We Tested the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick and Here's What Happened

8am
Rise and shine. But before that, Instagram last night’s event to feed everyone’s #FOMO. There are two events today that I need to go and cover, so it’s going to be super busy. I should probably wake up Mahima and remind her to start tweeting.
10.40am
Damn. 10 minutes late to office. Quickly say my hellos and head straight to the photographer who has all the pictures from last night’s event we have to post about. She transfers the shortlisted images to the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick, so I’ll be able to create my GIF later.
The images are really heavy, but when you have 200GB storage, it’s all good. Time to head for the first event.
11.45am
Been stuck in traffic for ages. Will have to eat my breakfast in the car {as usual}. I utilise the time going through the images on the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick- there are so many. I pick the best one, crop, apply my favourite filter, and post. Can’t forget that #trending hashtag.
12.50pm
Wow, this is some awesome street art. There is so much happening that I go a little overboard clicking pictures and end up exhausting my phone memory. But no worries, I quickly take a backup on the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick and make space on my phone. Wireless technology ftw!
3.20pm
Made it to office after getting stuck in traffic for a whole hour. Why, Delhi, why are you like this? Okay, there’s no time to complain ‘cos I need to leave for the fashion show soon.
I don’t think I have enough time to make the Flipagram myself. I walk up to Namrata and demand that she get the SanDisk Connect app on her phone. She complies, and a few minutes later, has the app in her phone. We quickly shortlist images of the street art show and discard the rest; the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick just made shortlisting a lot easier. Namrata saves the images on her phone and gets to work on the Flipagram. Phew!
4.07pm
Just about leaving when I get a panic text from my colleague who is locked in the next room with a bunch of high and mighty clients for a meeting. She couldn’t open the presentation on her laptop and has 10 minutes before she was up, and was, as a result, threatening to jump out the window {Why are people so dramatic?}
I go stand right outside the room she’s in, switch on the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick and WhatsApp her, asking to check if she can take the copy from the drive. Since I’m right outside the door, she can easily connect to the drive on the app {it has limited range} and gets what she needs off it. SanDisk saves the day.
7.30pm
Okay, Mahima and I are exhausted, but happy – the fashion show was stupendous! I got lots of video clips from the show that we can share on Facebook.
Uh-oh, my phone battery is about to die so we take out the SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick. The transfer is happening uber fast. Go…go…go…Yes! Everything gets transferred right on time. This is where social media folks like me get their adrenaline rush, I suppose
9.15pm
Reached home, finally. Apart from a few minor blips on the way, the day was a success. I can finally sit down in peace.
10.03pm
Nope, no peace, my friends just dropped by. Not an issue, because we usually do our own thing for the first hour and then go about doing our shenanigans.
The SanDisk Connect Wireless Stick sits blinking in the centre while I transfer all the pictures and videos from it to my laptop; I need the stick to be freed of space so that I can use it tomorrow. My friends, intrigued at the storage of this tiny device, also pair their devices to it; Akanksha decides to watch Narcos on her iPad and Viru, like always, listens to some jazz on her new Nexus 5X. Working with multiple devices and varied operating systems— this makes life so much easier.
