‘Reach For The Stars’, Jacqueline Fernandez’s new Signature Line for The Body Shop is for the kind of beauty enthusiast who likes fun, young colours and mixing it up with their makeup.

If 90's Bubblegum Pop Videos Were Your Thing...

…then this range is your Mecca. In all fairness, it’s a young and vibrant line; perhaps not your go-to colour palette for Fall/Winter, but interesting nonetheless. It’s ideal if you’re looking to break away from the quintessential winter staples {think Merlot, sangria and caramel}, and try something with a little more energy {while perhaps a little less finesse}.

While the 100% vegan {yes, please} collection has a Matte Clay Foundation and Lash Hero Fibre Extension mascara that are both quite good at their jobs {the foundation is light, and not terribly cake-y, while the mascara does add a modicum of plump}, what truly stood out for me was the Eye Colour Stick and the Shine Lip Liquid.

While the Shine Lip Liquid could’ve easily veered into ‘uncomfortable/sticky’ territory, it steered neatly clear of it. For the crew that doesn’t want to accept the new 2018 Gloss Gloss Revolution {myself included}, this is a good gateway product. It does shine enough to be on trend, but not overpoweringly enough to defy everything your matte-conditioned soul holds dear. I loved Watermelon Fizz in particular; a very kissable pink.

The Eye Colour Stick I tried was the orange one; a most unconventional decision for me {being a straight-up black eyeliner kinda gal and whatnot}, and while I’d swiped it on purely for the sake of the review, I found myself inclined to wear it all day. The cream base helps it swipe on and spread easily, without that powdery vibe most shadows have {works almost like a thick, build-able liner}. The orange is delicate {and not jarring, as this hue often has the bad habit of being}, and works better for warm skin tones. The formula blended well, and stayed put for several hours, so definitely worth a try with the other three shades in the mix, too.

So We're Saying...

Eye Colour Sticks above all else, but a good range if you’re looking for something frothy and youthful.
