This restored colonial property is 96 years old and we love how the Sud family has written this ancestral home’s turnaround story. Moved by the fate that had befallen this once-glorious mansion, Amish Sud {great grandson} and Yatish C. Sud {grandson} decided to take matters in their own hands and turn this family property from rubble to resplendent.

They began construction work on it in 2012 and brought in every piece of art and amenities and today, it stands as one of the most beautiful pieces of architecture in the vicinity. You ought to eat traditional Himachali food at the restaurant to make the most of your stay.

Lie in their beautiful pool all day sipping cocktails or make a trip to Bir Billing for paragliding or the Tibetan Monastery in Dharamshala. The hotel even offers a night safari in the forests around Garli Pragpur and if you’re more of a water baby, there’s always fishing and boating in River Beas.

If we were you though, we’d spend a day just walking around this painstakingly preserved area taking in everything from the local culture to the stunning architecture one pit stop at a time.
