Flattering slip dresses, sporty silhouettes, biker shorts, teeny sunglasses - 90's fashion trends are having a delightful resurrection and H&M's Spring 2021 collection is a testimony to that. The only thing that's changed this time around (and for good too) is the fact that it's all sustainable.
You can notice a balanced mix of sporty and 90s minimalist elements in their latest collection. Easy-to-wear dresses, sleeveless tank tops, single-breasted blazers, denim trousers, shorts with elasticated waistbands and trench coats are some of the clothes dominating this collection. They're taking their conscious clothing up a notch by incorporating more natural fibres and sustainably sourced materials. So, you'll see a lot of organic cotton and linen, undyed fabrics and the likes. We're glued to the sleeveless denim vest with patched pockets (90s JT much?).
What's also pleasing is the range of colours that the collection encompasses. A neutral palette with lots of beige, ecru, grey and black, which is honestly great for us since we get to style it in as many ways as possible (neutral shades go with everything). In conclusion, it's cool, it's retro AND sustainable. What more can we ask for!
