Fig & Maple is a small yet beautiful eatery in GK II. The cafe is located on the second floor. As you climb the stairs, you will notice a gorgeous and quirky chandelier lighting the entrance which leads you to the heaven of food and drinks.
The cafe is set up simply with wooden chairs and tables, white rugged walls, a small yet well-kept bookshelf with a great collection of books and prettiest lighting scene. You can pick any of the many amazing reads shelved at the cafe and order your favourite dish or beverage to have a good time all by yourself or with your friends.
The menu of the cafe features some amazing options including all-day breakfast meals, a bunch of appetisers, different kinds of eggs, pasta, pizzas, grills and mains, and desserts. They also have a section on the menu dedicated to hot chocolates and kind of coffees for all the caffeine lovers. Their bar menu also had various options to choose from. Though their bar is under construction, they are serving all kinds of alcohol {the usual way}.
We ordered their Rose wine, Mimosa and Jagermeister for drinks to accompany the basil and spinach chicken risotto, basil pesto grilled sandwich, fettuccine with mushroom sauce and pepperoni pizza. The food was well cooked and delicious. I loved the spinach and basil risotto the most. The quality of their meat and vegetables was really good. The portions were also decent for two.
To end the meal with the perfect flavours, we ordered their Banoffee Waffle and Creme Brulee Pancakes. The pancakes tasted just fine but the Banoffee Waffle was amazing. The service at the cafe was amazing and the staff was extremely accommodating too.
The place is worth many visits and I am definitely heading to it on days when I am not up for any experimenting with my food and drinks.
