What Makes It Awesome?

Being an avid traveller with a full-time profession gives me little time to manage my own space but this rented space is like a cocoon which houses my peace.

A souvenir collection that started building in 2015, ranges from pieces of textiles to utensils to anything that brought back a little piece of the place that I had travelled to. There are certain things here that I specifically like - the bookshelves made by local carpenters, the vintage rack with tin sheets as doors bought from Ramgarh, and the dining space with the wall art of old Bollywood movies. The carpets and rugs are shawls I got from Kashmir and the sofa throws are bought from various parts of the country. The brass teapot {pictured} is from downtown Srinagar. And the balcony has little plant pots and a mat from cottage industry emporium.

What Could Be Better?

Need to buy another book rack for my evergrowing book collection and a swing for the balcony.

What's My Pro Tip?

You can buy these movies posters bought for INR 10 each from Old Delhi Sunday market.

Anything Else?

Everything from the rack to the teapot here is vintage and quirky.
