The British way

HOC is inspired by British gastropubs. It is a mixture of old world British architecture with the New Age {you’ll see football league jerseys on the earthy, old-school bricked walls}. The lighting is a bit too dim, which makes it look shady, but it’s ideal for a  fun game night. They also have a small outdoor seating arrangement.

Serving no democracy

Their menu is a blend of Indian and international, instead of plain and simple British, keeping in mind the Indian palate.

Bhatti Da Kukkad is your very own tandoori chicken, except they’ve played around with the spices. Their Beijing Chicken with an infusion of peanuts is quite interesting and the Palak Patta Chaat is just pure win.

If pasta makes your heart beat ‘fasta’, try the white sauce. And if you’re a salad person then we would recommend their Chicken Tikka Caesar Salad.

For the main course, blindly order the Lal Maas served with your choice of bread. Although the original dish is much spicier, we were pretty floored over by their version too.

Also, do keep some space for their in-house lovely Tiramisu {served with liquid nitrogen for that dash of drama}.

Pick your potion

If you have a taste for alcohol, you’re in for a treat. We recommend the Deconstructed Sex on the Beach {vodka, cranberry juice, peach caviar served with orange juice ice cubes} and Smoked Apple Mojito {smoked rum, apple, mint, lime and cinnamon}.

If you’re not in the mood to get tipsy, opt for the shakes {we liked the Hide n Seek Shake}.
