That they legitimately lasted me an entire day—no touch-ups. As a lipstick junkie, I tend to carry the shade I start the day out with in my bag at all times, and can replenish it with two swipes (and my eyes closed). However, with these Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick (yes, I Googled the correct name for accuracy), I didn’t need to, which is rare for me. The funny thing was, I had a busy enough day of running around in the heat, eating, drinking hot coffee (a notorious lipstick-melter) to not even notice that I hadn’t touched up all day.
It was only suddenly, at around 8pm (a good 9 hours after I’d applied the first—and only—thick coat) that I realised I’d probably either been wiped clean, or left with that gross, coloured outline that careless lipstickers often find themselves touting after a day of nonchalance.
The colour had stayed put, and that, in my opinion, was the best thing about these lippies (they also have a neat, rectangular shape that fits in your bag SO neatly). I also like their selection of shades—very wearable for work (the blush pink Poet and the Jenner-esque nude Fighter take top billing). I liked some of their pop shades, too—the sexy oxblood Voyager and the fall-perfect Escapist are perfect for your evening plans).
