What Makes It Awesome?

Niraamaya Retreats Surya Samudra: If you are looking for a properly with very few people around you so that you n discover yourself and you are willing to pay for it then this is the place to be!

My first reaction- that’s how windows XP screensavers used to look like. A paradise where land, sea, sky will greet you every evening.

There are a total of 32 cottages ( 95% occupancy is via Europeans). The property is full at least in its peak season. ( best time to visit Kovalam is November to March).

We were in Rock Garden Cottage- we faced a few hiccups wrt the room- which were promptly taken care of by the hotel staff). Manager -Devansh visited us and personally took care of our issues & ensures everything was resolved. Staff is very courteous.

Room was huge with a bathroom looking in the sky and another small enclosed one. Our room’s front and backside had superb green area.

They have private (types) beach area. Not many tourists come from other nearby properties on the beach area.

There is an infinity pool where you’ll get spellbound by the sunset. Beach shack is a great place to eat while enjoying the sundowner.

They have one restaurant which serves breakfast/ lunch/ dinner and another small bar kind of area one called madira.

Do keep in mind there are no liquor stores in Kerala and only 5-star properties have the license to serve alcoholic beverages. ( only wine and beer will be served)

Their servers are extremely courteous, top of my mind recall is Jomi- a smiling, smart guy from Meghalaya. ( I’ll come back and mention other names as they all deserve huge applause).

In all this was exactly the place how I imagined it to be. Quite, serene, a place where you can enjoy your time with the waves and the breeze! And yes, special mention to their lip-smacking food.

Their spa is their USP- we couldn’t make the most of it, hopefully, some other time.
