BareAir, as the name suggests bares its ingredients and solutions out in the open! Their skincare range is mild and loaded with ingredients such as Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, caffeine extracts, Argan Oil, Mango Butter, etc. Bare Air's Vitamin C can awaken any sleepyhead honestly and that's what makes it awesome. We like that it brightens dull skin and on regular usage, it can fix any hyperpigmentation and marks.

Dr. Sheth's products are crafted for Indian skin, and to say Dr. Sheth's products work like magic would be an understatement. From peels and exfoliants to cleansers and toners — the entire range is top-notch. Perfect for sensitive skin and every day usage, their products are loaded with Vitamin C, shea butter, almond oil, rose-hip seed extract, berries, liquorice extracts, Vitamin E, etc. We've been using their Moringa & Vitamin C Cleansing Oil and Basic Brightening Extra Gentle Daily Peel for more than a year now and can vouch for them.

When Minimalist launched in India, many argued that it's a lot like The Ordinary. Clean packaging, transparent information, and ingredients that are scientifically formulated — Minimalist has lots of serums, moisturisers, toners, etc. This brand uses ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Lactic Acid, Niacinamide, and Bio-Placenta. Two products that we recommend: Rosehip Oil + VC-IP 3% (which brightens, evens tone & reduces signs of photo-aging) and Sepicalm 3% + Oat Moisturiser — which is a light-weight moisturiser.

Small batch skincare label Nature Therapy is a vegan skincare brand that uses 100% cold pressed oils to make their products whether it's jojoba oil you're after or a soap or scrub. We love the clean lines and labelling, especially how they've numbered all the products. While they might not be focused on the chemical bit as The Ordinary, they do certainly honour the ingredients like them.

Hyderabad-based Daughter Earth is founded by Prasanthy Gurugubelli and this skincare brand makes use of scientifically formulated botanical ingredients. Vegan, organic, and clean skincare — this brand is all about crafting skincare range that's gentle to our skin. They've got exfoliating cleansers, serums that are loaded with Vitamin C, Tamanu, Vitamin E, antioxidants, red algae, etc. Their website lists what concerns these products can target and you can take your pick based on that.

Gender neutral, natural and organic, Arata uses high quality ingredients that won't harm you or the environment. Like The Ordinary's honest approach to its ingredients, Arata also discloses everything that goes into their products and we also love that they don't create any plastic waste.

Bombay-based Ilana Organics is completely natural, free from toxins, parabens, and sulphates. With ingredients such as Vitamin E, Avocado Oil, Grapefruit Oil, Geranium, etc — this brand's products are super gentle on our skin. Two products that are worth checking out: Nourishing Sunshield and Brightening Skin Serum. The sun shield is loaded with antioxidants and it is hydrating. The serum is great for oily skin and works wonders for spot treatments.

Pulp is a skincare brand based out of Hyderabad and they use superfoods in its products. Pulp uses organic and high-quality ingredients, which is like you are feeding goodness to your skin. Cruelty-free, handmade, and loaded with superfoods — at the moment, Pulp has scrubs, face masks, and serums. Their Date Night Prep and Day After Binge are our favourites and we love that they come packed in pink boxes that can be reused. Their serums are loaded with Vitamin C, l-ascorbic and ferulic acids, Pro-vitamin B5, etc.

Their messaging is clear, all they want is to help you feel confident in your skin and we love that it's not focused on wild promises to fix "issues" in 30 days or less. Their products are developed by scientists and formulated with ingredients that they've clinically proven are effective. We've especially heard good things about their sunscreen and products for acne prone skin.
