The Ordinary is insanely popular in the skincare world if you've spent enough time looking at beauty bloggers' Instagram posts or YouTube reviews. What makes Thr Ordinary so popular though? Well, of course it's the ingredients and their whole aesthetic. From vitamin C to Hyaluronic Acid — this brand is all about chemistry, with minimalist packaging and effective products.

But you've also probably caught on to the fact that The Ordinary's products just aren't easily accessible in India (unless you have a relative you can keep asking to bring you back things from the US.) Well, for those of us without such relatives, check out these brands you can find online super easily and without the favour you'd have to return soon.

BareAir

BareAir, as the name suggests bares its ingredients and solutions out in the open! Their skincare range is mild and loaded with ingredients such as Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, caffeine extracts, Argan Oil, Mango Butter, etc. Bare Air's Vitamin C can awaken any sleepyhead honestly and that's what makes it awesome. We like that it brightens dull skin and on regular usage, it can fix any hyperpigmentation and marks.

Price: Starting at INR 425

Dr Sheth's

Dr. Sheth's products are crafted for Indian skin, and to say Dr. Sheth's products work like magic would be an understatement. From peels and exfoliants to cleansers and toners — the entire range is top-notch. Perfect for sensitive skin and every day usage, their products are loaded with Vitamin C, shea butter, almond oil, rose-hip seed extract, berries, liquorice extracts, Vitamin E, etc. We've been using their Moringa & Vitamin C Cleansing Oil and Basic Brightening Extra Gentle Daily Peel for more than a year now and can vouch for them.

Price: Starting at INR 350

Also, Dr. Sheth's is one of the best vegan skincare brands.

Minimalist

Minimalist

When Minimalist launched in India, many argued that it's a lot like The Ordinary. Clean packaging, transparent information, and ingredients that are scientifically formulated — Minimalist has lots of serums, moisturisers, toners, etc. This brand uses ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C, Lactic Acid, Niacinamide, and Bio-Placenta. Two products that we recommend: Rosehip Oil + VC-IP 3% (which brightens, evens tone & reduces signs of photo-aging) and Sepicalm 3% + Oat Moisturiser — which is a light-weight moisturiser.

Price: Starting at INR 299

Nature Therapy

Small batch skincare label Nature Therapy is a vegan skincare brand that uses 100% cold pressed oils to make their products whether it's jojoba oil you're after or a soap or scrub. We love the clean lines and labelling, especially how they've numbered all the products. While they might not be focused on the chemical bit as The Ordinary, they do certainly honour the ingredients like them.
