I've seen some really contemporary decor studios and some super traditional ones, too, but what about those of us who are just looking for a happy medium? Traditional with a modern spin, Indian Crafties does exactly that; they take tribal crafts and put a more contemporary touch to it so nothing seems dated (err, antique) or too "futuristic" in your home.
I'll start with our favourite trend here at LBB, Indian Crafties has a huge range of ceramics - right from coffee mugs and planters to bowls and platters, they come in a bunch of different traditional prints like florals and warli art but they also have simpler ones that are moroccan inspired and dual toned. They don't just have prints, though, some have engraved detailing that's subtle and modern like the leafy serving bowls and kullads.
They also have wooden and stoneware pieces that you can check out like the lamps, trays or handmade coasters. The pricing is another awesome thing about them, you can get a set of 6 mugs at INR 1,299 or an entire tea set (kettle included) for INR 1,499. Ideal for gifting, right?
