Tihar's Hosting An Art Exhibition & We're Heading Here To Appreciate Inmates' Artwork
What Is It?
Who Is It For?
Anybody who appreciates art in all its glory and just the sheer skill and effort it takes to transport something from mind-to-canvas should head out for this one-of-a-kind event. Artistically inclined inmates get a platform where they can showcase their talent and boost their confidence.
Why Should I Go For It?
Around 50 renowned artists from all over the country will aid and guide the Tihar inamates to create their artsy masterpieces for the exhibition.
Dilli Haat-Pitampura, INA, and Janakpuri will also host cultural evenings in addition to the exhibition.
Supporting this event will go a long way in supporting a good cause, building someone’s self confidence, and well, in creating more art {the world needs so much more}.
Anything Else?
Tihar Jail is one of the largest prison compounds and Delhi Street Art {DSA} took over some of the walls to turn them into colourful brick and mortar canvases. This was done as a precursor to the art exhibition. Make sure you check out those wonderful walls and specially, the unique art exhibit for some vibrant colours!
Where: Lalit Kala Academy, Rabindra Bhavan, 35, Firozeshah Road, New Delhi
