I'm someone who is obsessed with skincare products, skin and hair treatments, and spas. So, the news that Kama Ayurveda launched its first-ever experience centre in Delhi NCR is probably the best thing ever.
Opened at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon as an extended unit of the Kama Ayurveda store here, the experience centre really is a zen, sweet-smelling space. I know that malls aren't exactly the most calming spots in the world but the Kama folks have somehow made it all happen. Once you enter, you'll probably forget that the centre is inside a mall (that's how zen it is!).
My experience here started with a consultation with an Ayurveda doctor. After assessing my skin, and understanding all my skin/hair-related concerns, the doctor prescribed a 60 minutes Gauri treatment. It's a signature Kama brightening and deep cleansing facial treatment. Kama Ayurveda's kumkumadi range products and the Jwalini oil, along with the Kansa Wand (a massage device to balance one's doshas, chakras, and the skin's pH levels) are key aspects of this facial. The face massage, the back and head massage, and a soothing face pack are all the other aspects of the treatment that make it even better. Post the 60 minutes, my skin felt and looked extremely hydrated. It also added a lovely, healthy glow, and honestly, I haven't felt this relaxed in a long, long time.
Would I do this again? Absolutely! Would I recommend this (or any other) Kama treatment to others? Without a doubt (hey, it's all ayurveda too!). Honestly, if you've been wanting to squeeze in some R&R, the new experience centre is exactly what you need. They've got everything from an express, 30 minute head and neck massage to a 90 minute hair fall treatment to make you the happiest soul in the world (for at least a day or two before crazy work schedules, pollution or traffic troubles kick in).
