What Makes It Awesome

I remember fawning over Vogue magazines every single month since I was in school. I’d take cut outs of outfits I liked or products I wanted to try and that’s where I came across Kanai. Their skincare and non-toxic nail paints have been featured in Vogue India, UK and they’ve also won a ton of awards! The ingredients like avocado, aloe vera, apricot and more are all natural and ethically sourced from the Himalayas and a portion of the proceeds from their sales goes right back to the rural parts of Himalayas to support women and children there.

There’s around 30 shades of nail paints to pick from; there’s a gorgeous classic blue, bold red, hot pink and a millennial pink and some gold toned ones, too. The formula’s creamy-matte so if you like your nail paint glossy, you’ll need a good shiny top coat. I love that they’re cruelty-free and non-toxic because I always have nail paint on so I don’t have to worry about damage.

Their skincare range isn’t as elaborate; there’s a face wash, moisturiser, face mask and oil. The Turmeric & Apricot Face Mask is a sweet smelling scrub that also has tulsi, orange peel and rose petals. It’s a dried powder formula so mixed with milk, it gives an even better glow. The Avocado Oil Moisturiser is a deeply hydrating one so if you struggle with dry skin, this deserves a shot! The Natural Deodorant’s also a really cool alternative to switch to if you’re tired of the regular sprays full of chemicals.

Price: INR 199 each for nail paints, INR 600 for the face mask, INR 500 for the avocado oil moisturiser, INR 450 for the natural deodorant

What Could Be Better

The natural deodorant keeps selling out so if that’s the product you had your eye on, be prepared for a bit of a wait for a restock.

Pro-Tip

Their Instagram page is full of a ton of nail art inspiration if you want to try a not-so-basic manicure at home.
