Handloom House in Gurgaon's Galleria Market is a paradise for everyone who loves DIY, handloom and all things affordable. While they're mainly known for fabrics, they've also got a bunch of readymade shirts for men, dupattas and kurtas for women and a decent home decor section too.

What Makes It Awesome

Handloom House, a national level enterprise sponsored by the Government of India, has been around for more than 15 years. While they've had a countrywide presence for quite some time with stores in Delhi (in Janpath), Kolkata, Hyderabad and more, their Gurgaon outlet is relatively new.

It's a massive store loaded with yards of fabrics and readymade garments created by over one lakh handloom weavers from across the country. To give you an idea, Handloom House stocks everything from Telangana's Pochampally ikat and Bengal's kantha fabrics to Benarasi cotton saris and Jaipuri Razai

While there's plenty of fabric available here (think elegant chikankari, printed cottons and more) for those who like to create or mix and match their outfits, Handloom House stocks home decor for the house-proud too.

We managed to find a bunch of pastel-coloured handloom floor mats (small ones for INR 156), stunning ikat bed sheets (INR 1500) and Kutch work napkins and table mats (INR 450) that'll add colour to any boring dining table.

Also, isn't it amazing that everything here is so economically priced!? All the more reason to go check it out.

What Could Be Better

We wish they stocked a decent variety of clothes for men too. When we visited the store, we only found a few basic, unimpressive kurtas and cotton shirts.

Pro-Tip

Currently, they're offering a 20% discount on almost all the items at the store. We suggest you make the most of this.

Also, if you live in Delhi, don't make the trip to G-town. Instead, drop by their store in Janpath.
