If summer for you is all about the boho skirts, comfortable dresses, flowy pants, and relaxed tops, Khara Kapas, which means pure cotton, perfectly fits the bill.
Started by stylist-turned-designer, Shilpi Yadav, Khara Kapas aims to go back to traditional Indian roots, and adds a dash of contemporary style to it. You’ll find lots of Indian handloom, cotton, khadi, and mulmul in the designs (they promote fair trade). Having travelled across India while growing up, Shilpi was exposed to different cultures and crafts, all of which have found a place in her creations.
The brand takes inspiration from traditional saris and summer kurtis from various regions and aims to create something more practical, comfortable, and stylish. The result? Ultra-wearable silhouettes; think breezy maxis, kurta dresses, and cascading skirts.
