Ten-Second Takeaway

Khas Bagh is a luxurious homestay situated on the outskirts of Jaipur, comprising a delightful heritage style haveli and farm retreat.

A Family Joint

A family-run retreat, Khas Bagh is managed by Colonel N S Rathore {retired} and his son Ransher Singh. Gorgeous sprawling lawns and spacious verandahs greet visitors upon arrival. The hills in the backdrop, and horses grazing in the fields, give the space a dreamlike quality.

The Stay

The carefully restored haveli adds that old world charm we love so much. The homestay comprises 18 luxury rooms, each with jharokha balconies and filled with old family furniture. The amenities are state-of-the-art, with modern bathrooms and fully stocked rooms.

You can take a break from the scorching sun by taking a dip in their sweet pool, or unwind at the Polo Lounge. The lounge harkens back to a bygone colonial era, with family portraits adorning the walls, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, velvet curtains and plush leather sofas.

Much To Do

Khas Bagh has a bunch of activities you could sign up for, if you want to take a break from lounging. You can enjoy polo and horse riding sessions with host Ransher Singh, and if you’re there during the polo season, you can go watch a match at the Ram Bagh Polo Club {followed by cocktails and dinner}. There are also horse and elephant safaris; explore the surrounding farmlands and fields trotting on horseback, or ambling along on elephant back. Similarly, you can take a village cycle tour or visit the Amer and Jaigarh forts via jeep.

What We Loved

The charm of a departed era {from the restored furniture and haveli façade, to the polo and horse riding activities} emanates from every pore of Khas Bagh. This, coupled with the intimate care provided {highlighting the family-run nature of the place} makes it the perfect haven to lose yourself in.
