Get Ready To Watch Sumo Wrestling, Anime Cosplays, Origami & More At This Japanese Culture Fest!

What Is It?

Konnichiwa Japan is a Japanese cultural fest that’s happening at DLF Place, Saket to promote cultural collaboration between the two nations. There’ll be Sumo Wrestling, Cosplays, FIFA 18 competitions, music and dance performances and much more.

Who Is It For?

Look, we know you’re addicted to the mall {no judging, we are, too}, so you might as well count yourself in for this cultural treat. So, anyone who’s interested in infusing their weekend with a dash of Japanese culture, play FIFA 18, be a cosplayer and get in the festive vibe needs to go here.

Why Should I Go For It?

The festival will have a special Taiko performance, which is an ancient Japanese form of percussion using huge drums. There’s also gonna be a traditional dance from Okinawa, Undokai {a sports meet}, Anime cosplays {dust off that costume, friends}, Japanese Tea Ceremony, Bonsai, Ikebana and Origami. That’s one diverse group of activities!

There will also be a FIFA 18 competition, and get this, the winner will be getting a trip to Japan with 5 nights’ accommodation along with other Japanese cultural performances. Got that controller under control? Pack your bags.

For the highlight of the festival, for the first time ever, two Sumo Wrestlers will be flying in to put on a show unlike anything you’ve seen before—Yes. Sumo Wrestling. Right here in the city {you cannot miss this!}.

Anything Else?
