In the world of online shopping, Koral Tree stands out with its range of polymer clay jewellery in vibrant colours. Expect necklaces, studs and jhumkas like you’ve never seen before.

Clay It by Ear

Started by designer Suguna, Koral Tree encompasses a bunch of earrings and necklaces, made out of polymer clay. The material comes in peppy colours, can be moulded into almost anything {using the Italian glassware technique of Millefiori} and is lightweight- a welcome change from the usual heavy metal.

They’ve got a selection of danglers, but what really has our hearts is the jhumkas. Available in four categories: Traditional with a Twist, Cool n Trendy, Floral Masterpiece and Divine Beauty, there’s a lot to choose from. We’re lusting after the Glory of Krishna Jhumkas and the Flower Shower Jhumkas {these ones feature the lotus with the customary dome-like piece dangling below} and the Buddha Jhumkas.

Koral Tree uses a lot of beads, diverse textures and metallic polishes to dress up the jhumkas making them ideal for anything from a movie date to a wedding function.

What Else?

You’ll also find a fancier range of jewellery involving freshwater pearls, Swarovski pearls and semi-precious stones such as garnets, amethysts and quartz. While the brand’s forte is clearly earrings, their necklace sets are worth a look-see too. Lots of floral and tribal influences here.

The prices for some of the earrings are a tad high, but given they’ve managed to churn out a collection of jewellery so different from what we see every day, we think this one’s worth digging into the wallet for.
