Kritikala is an NGO that sells handcrafted garments made by under privileged women living in the Hyderabad slums with the aim to empower them by providing skill training so they can earn their own income.
The brand uses ikat, kalamkari and mangalagiri fabrics that are native to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The discarded fabric is then used to make patchwork products, thanks to their passion for sustainability. Each product is handmade to perfection. Find different kinds of dresses, tunics, kurtas, tops and straight pants in a variety of colours, designs and patterns.
Our favourite picks? The blue ikat fit and flared dress made of cotton with contrast piping detail perfect for a brunch date with your partner or girl squad. We also loved the ikat straight pants with waist tie detail. But if it's tunics that you're looking for, we'd totally recommend the flared hem kalamkari tunic perfect for a small get together or casual wear. I was looking for nice kurtis when I stumbled upon this mangalgiri sleeveless one in grey with pocket detail that can also double up as a dress.
