What Makes It Awesome?

Kukdukoo Lit Fest is a one-of-its-kind interactive Children’s Literature Festival. Coming up with its First Edition in Noida, KLF aspires to create joy for reading in a child’s early years. The festival brings forth some of the renowned authors and storytellers like International storyteller Şeyda from Greece, Geeta Ramanujan from Kathalaya, Rituparna Ghosh, Seema Wahi, Garima Arya for engaging sessions for both parents and children. There will be musical performances, puppet shows, drama and theatrical enactments of stories weaved around the concept ‘Reading is Fun’.

Research shows that 75% of what children learn in their lifetime is learned by the age of two. So it is important that we inculcate the habit of reading in a child’s early years. Reading also expands a child’s vocabulary. 20 minutes of reading with your child each day can expose her to 1.8 million words in a year.

KLF is an effort to interact with parents, share good literature and revive the habit of reading in young children. Besides enriched storytelling sessions, there will be varied fun activities for kid’s engagement, like, puppetry, art and craft. Parents can join for panel discussions and workshops on how to introduce and encourage children to read books. There will be something for everyone to enjoy and look forward to at the festival.
