Remember that feeling when you’ve got a piping hot plate of your favourite instant noodles (the spicier the better), you nestle down on your couch, searching for that perfect show on Netflix to accompany you and bam! Half an hour has passed, and all you can do is switch off your device and have cold noodles while watching Instagram reels? Yeah, same. And, so, we literally sat down a month in advance to do everyone a favour and make a watchlist for the entire month.

Lust Stories Season 2

Lust Stories was groundbreaking in the sense that nothing similar had been created in Indian cinema so har (how, we don’t know). The show certainly fared well on the challenge it had chosen to embark on, with masterful directors shining the spotlight on women’s sexuality—and portraying such relationships from an unexplored, women-centric lens. Which is why the arrival of a second season is a much-awaited one, and has all of us so excited! The four-part anthology will star actors like Kajol, Neena Gupta, Vijay Varma, Mrunal Thakur, and Tamanaah Bhatia among others and the shorts have been directed by R Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Ravindernath Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh. The trailer seems to be much steamier than the first part, and we’re waiting!

The Trial - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha

July is a big month for OTT as Kajol is debuting in not one series but two! Other than her role in Lust Stories Season 2 she will also lead the series The Trial - Pyaar Kaanoon Dhokha that’s premiering on Disney + Hotstar on 14 July. A courtroom drama with moral dilemmas, gray areas, and more, the trailer teases a show that’s high on betrayal, challenges, and the subsequent strength and power of Kajol’s character—Noyonika Sen Gupta—who tries to prove herself as a lawyer while seeking justice for her husband.

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2

The Summer I Turned Pretty got the recipe right for a guilty pleasure watch. A love triangle between the sweet girl, the typical, brooding guy and the nice, friendly guy— but make them brothers. A beachside vacation home, a debutante ball, a whole lot of drama—you name it and you got it. This is probably why we binged the show in merely a day, hungry for more. And now it's back with a new season (And another Taylor Swift song as the theme song)! Belly and Conrad seem to be in love as ever, but drama ain’t too far.

Tarla

Huma Qureshi is going to grace the screen with a contagious smile, portraying the role of the iconic celebrity home-chef, Tarla Dalal in this Zee 5 series. A drama and a biopic on the life on the life of the Padma Shri-winner, Tarla is a sweet, feel-good movie that's going to tug a few heart strings owing to the inspirational journey of Tarla Dalal. Huma's heartfelt dialogue about wanting to do something in life, even though she doesn't know what that is yet, completely won us over simply because of how relatable it was, and how the fact that even after a decade of her marriage she doesn't seem to be there yet—but she gets there, on her own time!
