Karaoke is always fun and you know what else is? A little friendly competition. We won't lie, rocking out is a serious business and can get heated up. Worth it? You decide. Where to partake, you ask? Well, at Monkey Bar's karaoke sing-off of course!
Cleverly titled 'Monkey's Got Talent', they're giving all you aspiring/ established/ looking to come out of the shower singers a chance to show off that vocal range. It happens in the last week of every month, to give you an idea of how much time you get to prepare. This time round, we'll be attending the sing-off. Can't promise a performance, but we're up for hanging out, so come say hey!
Now the minds behind Monkey Bar are nothing if not thorough and have thought of everything, from a legitimate panel of judges, to a special deal on liquor {just in case you need that liquid courage}, they've even slotted in time for a spot of practice! As for what the prizes are, if you land first position, you get to record your track as well go to the Monkey Hall of Fame. Best singer runner-up and entertainer all get Bose Audio speakers as trophies. Score.
Just in case you don't want to compete, there's a few rounds of regular karaoke post the competition. See? They really have thought of everything.
Show up early, register, pick your genre and get your game face on.
When: 25th Jun, 6pm onwards {registrations at 6pm, practice from 7pm-8pm, final competition from 8pm-10.30pm}
