Art enthusiasts ahoy! We’re curating the best of art and photography exhibitions currently happening in town. We recommend these regardless of whether you're a newbie, a novice, or an expert, because who doesn't like looking at pretty things?

Show Of Art Collection

The British Council Collection will display an array of art pieces from the British era. The display will start with the designs of 1920s London underground posters, followed by Eduardo Paolozzi’s work in the 1960s, and Pop Art, which was further developed by Patrick Caulfield.

Works by artists like Tom Philips and David Hepher from the 1980s - 90s will also be showcased. The show will round off with works by contemporary and celebrated British artists, as portrayed in the London 2012 Olympics posters.

Founder of Must Art Gallery, Tulika Kedia, along with Dr. Alka Pande, an art historian, will exhibit 12 unique genres of artwork intended at celebrating our country’s rich cultural diversity.

Anatomy Lessons

KNMA is having a special art show of KG Subramanyan’s {artist, pedagogue and poet} art, where his works on anatomy will be displayed.

Krishna Utsav – Group Art Exhibition

Art Laureate presents works from six gifted artists, Tapan Dash, Bishwaranjan Bhunia, Paresh Mridha, Kishore Roy, Pulakesh Mandal and Rita Mitra, there to express their interpretations of Lord Krishna on canvas.

The Surface Of Memory

Recent works by Sudipta Das have been displayed at Latitude 28, dealing with the journeys of the dispossessed across cultural and political boundaries. Das relives her identity as a fourth-generation Bangladeshi migrant in India in this showcase.

Hungarian Folk Tales

Browse through a series of award-winning children’s paintings created on the spot around the theme, “Hungarian Folk Tales”. The competition was hosted by the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre in February 2016, and it’s quite fascinating to get a peek into young artistic minds whose works made it to the top.

Lands Within

Lands Within is an exhibition on the theme of actual and imagined landscapes. It will showcase around 70 works by 18 Indian artists, and will talk about the artists’ personal journey through their artwork. The exhibition describes itself as “the artist’s eyes looks at the world as he experiences it, and in doing so adds subtle dimensions of meaning and sensation to that world.”
