What Is It?
Always wanted to learn a cool martial art? Then this two-day introductory course to the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira held at the Banjara School of Dance is just for you. As it is organised by the Centre for Capoeira India, this introduction to the beautiful, fluid moves of Capoeira is sure to be thorough and accurate.
Who Is It For?
Anyone interested in martial arts. Chances are you haven’t tried Capoeira before, and are looking for something new. Or if you’re looking for a different, and fun, way to exercise. Capoeira combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music to make for an enthralling, and tiring, experience.
Why Should I Go?
With the Centre for Capoeira India involved, there will be certified teachers on hand to teach you the moves, and guide you in your learning process. Having the best to learn from in the introduction course will help you decide whether to pursue it in the future. The founder of the India centre, Reza Baba Massah, is expected to be in attendance as well.
The Brazilian martial art involves quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for a wide variety of kicks, spins, and highly mobile techniques making it exciting and eye-catching.
