Every meal here starts with the complimentary Benarsi Lassi Spheres: Kesar Pista flavoured lassi disguised as small, wiggly bombs which explode in your mouth. This followed by the Peri Peri Popcorn {also complimentary}. And that’s just a mere trailer of what’s to come.

We officially started the meal with the Chamak Chalo Salad- orange and lettuce in a zesty dressing, and the Nachos Corn Chaat which turned out to be a pretty basic dish.

The main plot

Keen on trying the fusion chaats at LCA, we opted for the Hollywood Nitrogen Papdi Dhokla Chaat. This was when things got intense- the chef came out carrying a big box of ingredients and prepared the chaat in front of us- frozen curd crumbs meet frozen dhoklas, fried spinach leaves, papdi and boiled potatoes. All this topped with a generous dollop of curd, mint coriander chutney and tamarind sauce.

If you’re a pizza freak the Naanza is a must try-  pizza toppings on a thin Indian flatbread with lots of cheese. Wash it down with Rajnikant’s Early Morning Tea- tempered curry leaves doused in a spoonful of powdered coconut oil, and topped with piping hot rasam.

We ended on a sweet note with the Katchche Raaste- a rabri leche cake, which was hands down the highlight of our afternoon {or maybe even week} with its soft layered cream sponge cake sitting on a bed of rich, sinful rabri.

All in all, we found LCA to be a promising restaurant with a good variety of food, drinks and shisha.
