Ten Second Takeaway

Literati is IIT Delhi’s annual literary festival that has a whole range of events to help your inner scholar bask in a bit of glory and sunshine.

So what’s the deal this year?

Literati 2015 has been themed around the Marvel-DC comics, so you can expect a fair share {maybe more} of superhero references and nerd-fights. Okay, maybe not the last part. If you’re fond of drawing doodles and making speech bubbles, there’s a workshop that’ll give you the basics for making your very own comic strip. Know everything there is to know about the world of superheroes? There’s a quiz for that.

Anything else?

Oh, there’s lots more! A literary festival can’t call itself ‘literary’ without giving the brainiacs the chance for a fight. There's a Lit Quiz that will test your literature know-how of legends, from Shakespeare to Wilde to Ved Vyas. If you’re an aspiring writer, you can join the Creative Writing workshop, where you’ll get a chance to write scripts for skits, web-series, and drama-series. They have even lined up sessions with Indian authors Manu Joseph and Anand Neelkanthan, so if you’ve always wanted to know about their lives and passions, you have the perfect opportunity to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. With all this and a lot more lined-up, Literati 2015 is an event you ought to check out!

When: 11th-13th Sep
