The tree-houses are ideal for privacy {read: Romance} while the cottages are the best option if you’re looking for space and are with family. Better still, go with a group and book out one of each kind for the maximum experience!
The Great Outdoors
An absolute no-no if you’re looking to just do nothing, Dandeli is an adventure getaway through and through. The Hornbill River Resort caters to just that. And why not? We suggest you make sure rafting is first on the cards, even if there’s nothing else. The river Kali is wild enough to give you a rush, but tame enough to not scare first-timers.
On the property itself is a lagoon which has mild rapids, making it a private natural jacuzzi, so make sure to leave a little time for that indulgence. It would be foolish to not see the Hornbills the resort is named after, so book yourself a river boat ride – perfect to get a glimpse of the birds in their natural habitat.
Feeling particularly adventurous? There’s plenty of trails you can hike up for a bird’s-eye view of the whole area. Rappelling, rock climbing, trekking and even overnight camping can be arranged for the brave hearts. Oh, and there’s fishing too, if you enjoy the sedentary sport.
