Shortcut

Nameri National Park and Tiger Reserve is one of the greenest and best conservation efforts ever. Imagine leaving the city jungle and going to a real one and camping right next to it. It’s possible in Assam at Eco Camp, Nameri.

In The Jungle, The Mighty Jungle

Once you reach Eco Camp {after making reservations, of course} there are a bunch of activities you can be a part of. From visiting the national park to a thrilling experience of level one rafting in the Jia-Bhoroli River, these fun activities are organised for the adventurer and nature freak in you. Apart from that there are a lot of wild animals and birds to keep you company. You can even trek five kms into Nameri’s core area and chat up a few birds or just stare at them with your binoculars.

There are many things to see around Nameri, if you wish to go a bit beyond conservation and camping. You can visit a local village nearby or numerous other conservation and breeding centers, surrounding Nameri.

Rent A Tent

For accommodation, they have super sustainable thatched tents made of colourful fabrics, sturdy beds and attached loo’s. Their basic amenities are top notch and very eco-friendly. Mostly they advise bookings in the month of November, as it’s the best season for boat trips down the river and treks into the forest. The weather there is quite pleasant during the time but you may want to carry a light jacket along. To know more about tariffs and how to get there, you can visit their website.

So, We’re Saying…

Assam is a gorgeous pace to visit and nothing beats a national park to go along with it. Perfect for nature and animal lovers, this one’s a must visit!
