This lockdown has made us discover one thing about ourselves - we love the combination of cozy blankets and good movies. Lionsgate, a major film and entertainment studio, will be livestreaming Oscar nominee La La Land for free on their Youtube channel on May 2! Not just that, the livestream will be hosted by actor Jamie Lee Curtis who will be having real-time chats with fans, movie trivia, challenges and more.
Whether you’ll be watching La La Land for the 12th time or the first, one thing we know for sure is that you already know the lyrics to all the songs. It’s the perfect sing-along musical (yes, we’ll be singing City Of Stars way off-tune), full of love and laughs and some tears, too. The soundtrack is beautiful and so is the cinematography so we’re not surprised it won 6 Oscars! One scene we can’t stop thinking about is the single-shot, iconic song A Lovely Night with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in that gorgeous yellow dress.
All you have to do is go on Lionsgate Movies’ Youtube channel and get ready to meet your new favourite movie. While the event is free, donations are encouraged as it’s uncertain when things will be able to go back to normal. Proceeds will be going to theatre employees who are presently out of work.
